Four leafless and sparsely foliated trees rise against a turbulent sky streaked with gold, orange, and deep blue, their dark trunks anchoring a composition divided by horizontal bands of color. The foreground swells with emerald and teal-green earth, while the trees' sparse red canopies and skeletal branches create a sense of melancholy transition, rendered in Schiele's expressionist style with raw, gestural brushwork and emotional intensity. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
