Description
A black beetle with pale cream spots scattered across its wing covers and body is rendered in bold, silhouetted form against a soft cream ground. The insect is shown in precise frontal symmetry, its antennae and six legs sharply detailed, creating a graphic quality that suggests both scientific illustration and modernist art. At home in a naturalist's study or modern gallery wall. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
