Description
A jewel-toned cicada dominates the composition, its head and thorax rendered in deep emerald and sapphire blue with intricate geometric patterning, while delicate wings unfold on either side in pale golden outlines. The illustration balances botanical precision with decorative ornamentation, employing a limited palette of blue, green, and gold against a soft cream ground to create an effect at once naturalistic and richly ornamental. At home in a naturalist's study or a room where natural history meets refined taste. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
