Description
Two jockeys on brown horses race across a pale ground, their cream-colored silks contrasting sharply against the earthy tones of their mounts. The composition captures forward momentum through loose, confident linework and a muted palette of browns, creams, and grays that gives the piece an intimate, sketch-like quality despite its carefully observed anatomical detail. At home in a study, gentleman's room, or space devoted to equestrian pursuits and art history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
