A hoopoe bird with an elaborate coral-pink crest dominates the composition, its body rendered in bold black linework with intricate patterning and pale details. Surrounding the bird are layered green palm fronds, small scattered flowers in gold and coral tones, and curious seed pods, all rendered in a folk-art illustrative style with soft, muted earth tones and delicate botanical precision. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
