Description

A layered cake rendered in hot pink, cream, and soft green sits centered against a pale pink background, crowned with glossy red cherries and delicate green leaves. Bold white lettering reading "I NEED TO CRY" curves across the cake's frosted surface, creating a humorous contrast between the celebratory dessert and the emotionally candid message. For a bedroom or creative workspace that values witty, relatable humor. A Baltic birch top with the artwork printed across it, made to order on steel legs in black or gold. The center of the room as an independent artist's work, not a flat-pack lookalike.

About The Artist

instagram: chromoeye (tag me!!) Hi, my name is Lauren! A little about me: I'm from the sweet, sweet state of Louisiana, I recreated Starry Night at age 5 in crayon and my parents haven't let me forget it since, and I'm obsessed with everything 60s, eclectic, and nostalgic. However, despite this obsession with the styles of a bygone era, I like to hold tight to the simple, boldly expressive, and vibrant aspects of the present. I adore art that successfully blends the world of the past with the new possibilities of the present. In short, my work is inspired by life in its simplest form: Bright and dark colors for the good times and bad, an underlying simplicity, and an affection for the past with an eye on the future. I try to invest these little aspects of life that I love dearly into the hearts of my pieces. My one hope is that you see and enjoy these aspects as much as I do, too.
