Description
A woman in cream and gold drapery leans over a reclining man in a dark interior, her attendant steadying his head as she draws a blade across his neck in a moment of decisive violence. The composition uses dramatic chiaroscuro, with warm flesh tones and rich fabrics emerging from deep shadow, capturing a biblical narrative of courage and retribution with unflinching physicality. At home in a gallery space, study, or anywhere bold historical narratives are honored. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
