A traditional Kurdish rug from Malatya in East Anatolia displays a symmetrical composition of stacked medallions rendered in deep reds, blues, and cream tones, each geometric form intricately patterned with stars, crosses, and angular motifs. The dense weaving creates a sense of rhythmic harmony, with warm crimson grounds contrasting against cool sapphire accents and ornamental borders framing the entire field.
