Description
A vintage library card printed on bright yellow stock displays the accumulated handwritten marks and date stamps of countless checkouts spanning from 1964 to 1965. The overlapping ink notations in black and red create a palimpsest of borrowing history, transforming an ordinary administrative object into a visual record of past readership and use. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
