Description
A figure on horseback wielding a bow is rendered in navy ink on a cream ground, executed in a classic engraving style with fine linear hatching that gives the rider and mount substantial form and movement. The composition is spare and centered, conveying both the restraint of traditional printmaking and a wry, tongue-in-cheek attitude about territorial belonging. At home in a coastal cottage, surf shop, or space celebrating regional pride and wit. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
