Description
A pale yellow chrysanthemum with spindly, radiating petals towers above dark silhouetted foliage against a night sky, rendered in a Japanese woodblock style with rich layers of indigo, sage, gold, and charcoal. The composition places the luminous flower as a beacon in an otherworldly landscape, creating a dreamlike tension between the flower's delicate form and the heavy darkness surrounding it. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
