Description

Stylized faces with single eyes and curved mouths repeat across a bright turquoise ground in an intricate, flowing pattern of darker blue line work. The composition creates a rhythmic, almost meditative quality through its organic repetition, evoking the smooth worn appearance of sea glass tumbled by waves. Printed on smooth white card stock and made to order, artwork on the front, blank inside, envelopes included in every set. A handwritten note that arrives as an independent artist's work.

About The Artist

instagram: chromoeye (tag me!!) Hi, my name is Lauren! A little about me: I'm from the sweet, sweet state of Louisiana, I recreated Starry Night at age 5 in crayon and my parents haven't let me forget it since, and I'm obsessed with everything 60s, eclectic, and nostalgic. However, despite this obsession with the styles of a bygone era, I like to hold tight to the simple, boldly expressive, and vibrant aspects of the present. I adore art that successfully blends the world of the past with the new possibilities of the present. In short, my work is inspired by life in its simplest form: Bright and dark colors for the good times and bad, an underlying simplicity, and an affection for the past with an eye on the future. I try to invest these little aspects of life that I love dearly into the hearts of my pieces. My one hope is that you see and enjoy these aspects as much as I do, too.
