However, despite this obsession with the styles of a bygone era, I like to hold tight to the simple, boldly expressive, and vibrant aspects of the present. I adore art that successfully blends the world of the past with the new possibilities of the present. In short, my work is inspired by life in its simplest form: Bright and dark colors for the good times and bad, an underlying simplicity, and an affection for the past with an eye on the future.
