A crowded underwater tableau depicts divers in period dress exploring a dense marine ecosystem teeming with coral, anemones, shells, and fish rendered in warm ochres, soft blues, and muted greens. The composition layers figures and sea life across the entire surface in an intricate, cabinet-of-curiosities style that celebrates the abundance and strangeness of ocean depths with meticulous naturalistic detail. At home in a curiosity cabinet, eclectic library, or maximalist living space. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
