Description
Two detailed scientific sketches of oyster shells rendered in graphite reveal the mollusk's internal and external structure with careful anatomical precision. The warm cream paper grounds these naturalistic drawings, capturing the ridged texture of the shells and their organic, asymmetrical forms through delicate cross-hatching and subtle shading. At home in a naturalist's study or alongside other curiosities of the sea. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
