Description

A dense catalog of reptiles and amphibians fills this hand-colored engraving, arranged in three horizontal registers from snakes and lizards at top to crocodilians in the middle and turtles below. Ochre, sage green, and cream tones dominate the naturalistic palette, rendered with fine cross-hatching and delicate linework characteristic of 19th-century scientific illustration. Printed on a large polyester top with a non-slip rubber backing and made to order, room enough for keyboard and mouse. A workspace anchored by an independent artist's work instead of bare particleboard.
