A traditional Romanian carpet unfolds in deep jewel tones, its symmetrical field of burgundy and navy populated with intricate floral motifs, geometric borders, and ornamental vines rendered in cream, gold, rust, and turquoise. The composition radiates from the center outward through nested rectangular frames, each layer densely patterned with the precision and richness characteristic of Balkan textile traditions. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
