Description
A deep indigo ground is overlaid with a precise grid of white lines and crosses, creating a geometric shibori pattern achieved through the Japanese itajime resist-dyeing technique. The composition alternates between solid dark blue rectangles and intersecting white marks with softly diffused edges, suggesting the natural variation that occurs when folded fabric resists the dye. Printed on smooth white card stock and made to order, artwork on the front, blank inside, envelopes included in every set. A handwritten note that arrives as an independent artist's work.
