Description

Four botanical specimens of algae and corallines are arranged in a gridded composition, rendered in delicate pen and watercolor with golden and sepia tones dominating the upper and lower right specimens while the others remain as refined line drawings. The naturalistic study captures the intricate branching structures and organic forms of marine plant life with scientific precision, evoking the careful observation practices of 19th-century natural history illustration. Made to order from soft micro-twill and cut by hand, insert included. Real art for the spaces you actually use, not store-shelf filler.
