Description
Four pressed specimens of seaweed and algae are arranged on cream paper with handwritten labels and notes, rendered in muted yellows, browns, and deep burgundy tones. The delicate forms range from feathery fronds to sinuous curved shapes, documenting marine botanical life with the precision and care of 19th-century natural history illustration. At home in a curiosity cabinet, naturalist's study, or coastal-inspired space. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
