Description
A fan of vertical green leaves radiates outward from a centered point against a soft pale green ground, evoking the botanical abstractions of Henri Matisse's cut-paper work. Bold capital lettering reading "MATISSE" anchors the top of the composition, while additional text in smaller type grounds the piece with institutional and archival information, creating the aesthetic of a museum poster from mid-century modernism. At home in a gallery-inspired space or a room devoted to modern art and design history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
