Description
A grid of eighteen rabbits progresses from solid black silhouettes at the top through increasingly lighter variations in the middle rows, ending in delicate outline sketches at the bottom against a warm cream background. The composition documents a systematic study of form and tone, rendered in black ink with clinical precision yet possessing an understated charm through its repetition and subtle shifts in rendering. At home in a naturalist's study or a quirky bedroom with vintage scientific interests. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
