Description
A collection of anthropomorphic ceramic vessels with exaggerated facial features clusters across a tiered composition against a dark, moody background, surrounded by patterned cacti and succulents rendered in bold yellows and greens. The mugs display an array of painted patterns in reds, blues, blacks, and metallics, each with distinctly wary or skeptical expressions that create a playful tension between the domestic and the unsettling. At home in a quirky kitchen or creative studio space. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
