Description
A monumental lobster rendered in naturalistic brown tones occupies the center of this composition, framed by an ornate Baroque border of gilt scrollwork, floral swags, and architectural details in orange, gold, and blue. The symmetrical arrangement creates a heraldic quality, as if the crustacean has been elevated to emblematic status within this richly decorated interior space. At home in a maximalist gallery, a curiosity cabinet, or a room that celebrates surreal wit and classical excess. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
