Description

A figure in white robes sits cross-legged on a decorated platform while two attendants in ornate red and gold garments stand nearby, set within a palatial courtyard framed by a dark decorative border. The composition employs the flattened perspective and jewel-toned palette characteristic of Indian miniature painting, with careful attention to textile patterns, architectural detail, and the subtle gradations of the sky rendered in pale blue and green. Crafted from bamboo and made to order, with a drilled hole so it hangs on the wall as easily as it works on the counter. A kitchen essential carrying an independent artist's work, not a blank block from the big-box aisle.
