Description
A tiger and hawk intertwine in dynamic composition against a weathered cream ground, their bodies rendered in bold black line work with intricate pattern fills that suggest feathers, fur, and scales. The creatures overlap and pivot around each other in a spiraling vertical arrangement, creating movement and tension characteristic of Korean folk art tradition. At home in a gallery space or studio, celebrating cultural heritage and artistic tradition. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
