Description
Blue ink pastoral vignettes densely populate a cream ground, each depicting rural French scenes with stone cottages, cypress trees, figures, and livestock rendered in delicate line work. The composition reads as a classical toile de Jouy pattern, with repeated architectural and natural elements arranged in a seemingly scattered yet balanced arrangement that evokes 18th-century French textile traditions. At home in a traditional dining room, study, or any space celebrating classic French aesthetics. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
