Description
A delicate tulip-tree blossom unfolds at the center of this botanical study, rendered in soft watercolor with pale cream petals tinged in peachy-gold and surrounded by deep green ivy-shaped leaves. The composition balances scientific precision with an intimate, contemplative quality, set against a warm cream ground that suggests the aged paper of a 19th-century naturalist's journal. At home in a naturalist's study or a sunlit room filled with curiosities. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
