Description
A squat toad rendered in mottled gray tones dominates this composition, its textured skin rendered with careful stippling and line work against a warm cream ground. The frog's enormous circular belly is left blank and white, while its downturned mouth curves into an unmistakable frown, creating an expression of sullen displeasure, with a red seal stamp marking the upper left corner in the style of classical Japanese printmaking. Bound with 52 pages of 70lb paper, lined or unlined, behind an anti-scuff matte cover with wraparound artwork, made to order. Notes and sketches kept behind an independent artist's work, not a plain composition cover.
