A sunlit Mediterranean landscape unfolds in bold, flattened forms where golden hillsides terraced with crops descend toward brilliant blue waters, anchored by a white cottage and distant mountains. Wildflowers in orange, yellow, and white bloom across the foreground in gestural sweeps of color, while the composition layers warm earth tones against cool blues in the manner of early twentieth-century color field painting.
