Description
A detailed cartographic rendering of 1893 New York City spreads across the composition in warm cream, tan, and soft blue tones, with the distinctive triangular shape of Manhattan's street grid dominating the center. Fine lines trace avenues and blocks with precise regularity, while waterways, parks, and surrounding boroughs emerge in lighter washes, creating a layered portrait of the city at the end of the nineteenth century. At home in a study, library, or the space of a history enthusiast or urban planner. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
