Description

Soft washes of lilac, beige, and deep charcoal blur across the canvas in a layered composition that suggests both architectural forms and atmospheric space. The painting moves between clarity and obscurity, with gestural marks and organic pooling creating a contemplative mood that hovers between representation and pure abstraction. At home in a modern bedroom or a quiet creative studio. A vegan leather seat with the artwork printed across it, made to order on steel legs in gold or black. Everyday seating that carries an independent artist's work rather than store-shelf furniture.

About The Artist

Hello, I'm Ela Szczepaniak. I live and work in Krakow, Poland. I'm an interior designer. I have created designs for private houses, hostels, restaurants as well as scenography for photo sessions. Most of the pieces I use for decoration such as paintings or lampshades I create myself. They all come from my fascination with textures, overlapping layers of materials and experimenting with different compotents and techniques. In my paintings I use oil on canvas as a basis. Then I start combining it with dry pastels, silver coating or add pieces of different materials starting from photo paper through fabric to cardboard.
