Description
A central fern plant with delicate green fronds radiates upward from a cream ground, surrounded by a symmetrical arrangement of snakes in browns, golds, and muted tones that coil and intertwine like living roots. The composition merges botanical and zoological illustration in a classical naturalist style, creating an intricate study where plant and serpent form an organic, almost allegorical whole. At home in a natural history collection or a curiosity cabinet inspired room. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
