Horizontal bands of green watercolor wash across the composition, layering from pale sage at the top through progressively deeper forest tones toward black at the bottom. The organic, diffused edges and granular texture create a sense of atmospheric depth, as if viewing layers of water, mist, or earth receding into shadow.
