Zé Pereira began his career as a freelance illustrator while in highschool back in his hometown, Funchal. In the beginning, drawing was not part of his future, but for some reason, he gave up on his other goals to fully dedicate himself to illustration, changing universities to eventually study Drawing in Lisbon, Portugal.

After completing his degree, exhibitions abroad were his main goal in order to put himself out there and adverstise his work (England, Germany). Now, most of his clients are musicians, blogs, magazines and fanzines. He is supplying them with illustrations which are a mix between traditional and digital drawing techniques.
